Healing Through the Stars: Vedic Astrology for Persian Lives

Have you ever felt stuck in the same emotional loop, unable to find peace no matter what you try? For many Iranians around the world, family expectations and old wounds can weigh heavily. In my book, 15 Years of Real Astrology Consultations: Persian Client Stories of Timing, Healing, and Success, I share how understanding your chart can help you heal. Here is one of those stories: how a client named Shadan worked through a painful chapter of her life, and what you can take from it.
Shadan's story: healing through a Ketu period
Shadan came to me feeling restless and weighed down by her past. She was in her Ketu Mahadasha, a seven-year period of detachment and inner searching. Ketu, one of the two shadow nodes in Vedic astrology, often brings loss and confusion. For Shadan, those years (2017 to 2024) brought the death of her father and the end of important relationships, and left her questioning what her life meant.
But Ketu can also bring deep change. Using my BCRC method (Birth Chart, Responsibility, and Conscious Choice), I helped Shadan see this period as a call to heal from the inside. Her chart showed a wounded Moon, the source of her emotional unrest. Once she understood that, she could start working on her anxiety and overthinking. Her story shows how a painful season can become a source of strength.
The Moon: calming the mind
In Vedic astrology, the Moon rules your mind and emotions. Shadan's Moon was under real pressure, which showed up as anxiety, harsh self-criticism, and a habit of going over the past. We focused on calming that inner weather: the stormy thoughts that kept her stuck.
Here are three simple things you can do to calm your own Moon:
- Wear white or silver on Mondays, the Moon's day.
- Spend five minutes in nature every day, breathing slowly.
- Write your worries down, then close the notebook and let them rest.
Small steps like these helped Shadan find more peace, and they can help you too. You'll find more stories like hers in my book.
Breaking old family patterns
Shadan's chart also showed a difficult relationship with her mother, something many Iranians will recognize. During her Ketu years, it caused a lot of tension. I suggested she set clearer boundaries, either by moving out or by sharing less with her mother emotionally, so she had room to heal. That step made a real difference, because it let her finally put her own needs first.
If family patterns are holding you back, your chart can show you when the time is right to set boundaries. You can also read more in Persian on Horastro.
A new chapter: Mercury
Shadan's Ketu years are ending, and her Mercury period, which began in 2024, promises growth and clarity. Mercury rules communication, and for her it supports both her career and her finances. We used the time before the change to focus on self-care and learning, so she'd be ready. Her story is a good reminder that Vedic astrology isn't about predicting the future. It's about timing your actions well.
